Abstract

Loss of eye and disfigurement associated with loss of eye can result in physical and emotional disturbance. Prosthetic rehabilitation of the phthisical eye is the treatment of choice when surgical reconstructive procedure does not have satisfactory results. Facial rehabilitative reconstruction is a technique sensitive and visual assessment alone may not be accurate, such rehabilitative procedure is a complex task, requiring an individualized design of the technique for each patient. This article focuses on simple, effective way of using computer software, for virtual treatment planning and restoration of the enucleated eye and deformed socket with an orbital prosthesis
